About Autism Center
Therapy Services, LLC is proud to be an Autism Center with both an occupational therapist and physical therapist who are Certified Autism Specialists. Our Certified Autism Specialists have undergone extensive training to help them better meet the needs of individuals with autism, and they are required to have continued training to keep their certification active.
Our Autism Center is equipped with a beautiful indoor sensory gym for fun breaks or treatment locations, and to assist with regulation as needed. It features a rock wall, crash pad, slide, rope ladder wall, interchangeable swings, ball pit, bubble tube, white boards and other sensory items. All of our disciples are able to treat within the sensory gym to help meet the needs of our patients.
Community Integration is another service offered as part of our Autism Center. Being located across from Suncrest Town Center, we have the flexibility and availability to plan outings, whether on a 1:1 basis or in a group setting. Individuals can learn important life skills, such as scanning a busy store to shop for groceries, money management with cash/card, ordering food, and talking with employees/ learning how to communicate wants and needs, whether verbally or with a communication device.
Monthly/bimonthly social groups are also a service offered within our Autism Center, based on age and abilities of the individual. Past activities have included: cooking groups, games, trips to the arcade, and art groups.
Therapy Services, LLC also offers monthly caregiver support meetings. We encourage caregivers of children (of all ages!) that have been diagnosed with autism to come and meet with other families experiencing similar life events. It is an open environment to problem solve, network, talk about joys and milestones, and just be around other families who get it. Our meetings have also included a potluck event open to the entire family, and an outing to the WOW! Factory. Our plan for the coming year is to have guest speakers to discuss common topics that are discussed in our meetings. The goal of our Autism Center and Autism Caregiver Support Group is to be a resource for our community and an advocate for individuals diagnosed with autism.
